Our very first labelnight was great! Even though it was vastenavend and -18 degrees Celsius the party in Bergen op Zoom was pretty much on and the afterparty in Roosendaal probably shortened our life expectancy with a fair amount of months. Like Ice Cube said: it was a good day. This calls for an immediate follow-up, so come see Greyline, Otis, Sweet Empire and Walker Diver on the 2nd Black Death labelnight at ACU in Utrecht THIS FRIDAY ALREADY. Come and get it Randstad. We are stoked to announce that we're throwing a party in Bergen op Zoom in a few months! To celebrate 25 Black Death releases since the year 2000 there will be a line-up of awesome Black Death recording artists at Gebouw T on February 4th 2012. The performing acts: All On Black, Otis, Envy The West, Greyline, Walker Diver and Screw Houston Start Screaming. Check out the Facebook event here and make sure to be there. Epidemic Of The Forked Tongue is out and going fast! Only 250 copies available (all on beautiful white vinyl) so be quick or miss out. Releaseshows and reviews have been awesome so far, thanks. Meanwhile, two other official Black Death releases have surfaced and a third one is at the pressing plant as we speak. First up we have When Trumpets Fade by Screw Houston Start Screaming, a great digipack CD for fans of Gallows, The Bronx and Cancer Bats. Walter Poppelaars (of Otis fame) and the band worked hard on this album, and all of that hard work paid off as you can hear. The other release is All On Black's teaser 7" single preceding their debut album. The single contains 2 tracks from the awesome forthcoming album. Get the single now to get warmed up for that full-length CD which is due in a couple of weeks, also released via the Black Death institute of mental retardation and damaged livers.

Otis and Greyline's collaboration Epidemic Of The Forked Tongue is up for pre-order so come and get it! Only €10 for a beautifully packaged white vinyl 12" record, check out preview tracks from both bands here. If all goes well, the items will be available first on Otis' Scandinavia trip later this month and pre-orders will be shipped on September 25th. The past month or so we released two awesome 12" records featuring the best indie rock this side of the globe! The band Mitch might've broken up ages ago, its ex-members are still going strong on these brand new slabs of vinyl. First we have The History Of Light by The Light Brigade, a 4 song 12" containing the songwriting skills of Gerton Govers backed by members of The Unborn, Envy The West, Walker Diver and Stansoon. The releaseparty is set for August 27 at the Little Devil in Tilburg so make sure to be there. The other record is Forever Endeavour, the amazing debut album of All Star Galaxy. This is Michel van der Westen's project, who wrote a whole bunch of new songs and finally finished some of the last unreleased Mitch songs. Go to the store to fetch both albums, as well as a shitload of other stuff like the new NOFX 10" which contains some great cover songs by Battalion Of Saints, Necros and Urban Waste. No tracklisting on the sleeve though. Coming up: in September and October we will add 3 more releases to the Black Death catalogue! Get ready for the split 12" by Otis and Greyline on 12" vinyl (check out a previewed Otis track at 3voor12's luisterpaal), a cool 7" teaser for the upcoming All On Black album, and the new Screw Houston Start Screaming EP. And just in time for the release date, we finally give you MASSAVALPARTIJ! It contains 10 crappy hardcore punk anthems for fans of Minor Threat, The Gories, Dead Fucking Last and Hüsker Dü. The Unborn performed, Patrick Delabie recorded (done in about 5 hours), famous Dutch painter Constant provided the artwork and Batman wrote the liner notes. You can order it now for only €5 or come and get it at the Boulevard in Breda tomorrow night. Other nice bands like Pigteeth and The Butcher are also playing. Don't get too wasted that night, because you also must go see OTIS open for FUCKED UP this weekend. On saturday they're playing at 013 in Tilburg (also playing: Screw Houston Start Screaming) and on sunday at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. So, plenty to do this weekend, and next weekend (on saturday May 21st) there will be another release reception for the Massavalpartij 7". This time shit will hit the fan at Sounds in Tilburg around 16:30. Come and get it.

We have some fantastic new vinyl in store! We got the re-issue of the Otis / Daily Fire split 10", we got the Narrows / Heiress split 7", we got some cool items from Off With Their Heads, we got the latest Red Dons LP, we got this crazy rare amazing re-issue of Bad Brains' first 7" on gold vinyl, we got Baroness' first two EP's on one 12" red vinyl record, we got a couple of EP's from Burning Love, we got My Disco's Paradise LP, we got OFF!'s brand new 7" on red vinyl and we even got the limited US tour edition of that same 7" on blue vinyl. We even got tickets to the Descendents show in London this weekend but we're not selling any those if you don't mind. We do however have the "Everything Sucks" demo recordings by ALL (!) up for free download here. The only thing we haven't got is the new Unborn 7" because those boys are some of the most incapable people on the planet to work with but we will have them next month. We promise. In a couple of weeks we will unleash The Unborn's Massavalpartij 7". You can listen to a preview track on the releasepage and grab another album track + 2 in the free Car Chase EP zip file. This release will be followed by The History Of Light 12" from the recently signed Light Brigade! If you dig The Replacements, Beach Boys or Love you must definitely check this band out. You can find The Light Brigade's debut album in the free download section, and the first 50 buyers will receive this album on cd as a bonus. Pre-order both releases here and here. The release lined up after this will contain new material from Greyline and Otis on a nifty split 12" vinyl record. Both bands are still in the writing / recording phase but we hope to have it all ready before the summer. After that we got even more new releases planned, more news later on. The Unborn's third album Massavalpartij will be out in a month or so. As a teaser to this release the band now gives you this free digital EP featuring a shitty editted version of the track "Car Chase" plus 2 never before released songs straight outta the vaults of Studio 195. All three songs are instrumental so I guess this is their "Process Of Weeding Out". Speaking of Black Flag: blckdth018 is officially out so order now! As you can see we're kicking off 2011 in style with a brand new website! Test pressings have been passed around and approved so the actual product will be here real soon on solid gold vinyl and in 5 different sleeves. After that we have the new Unborn 7" but more on that later on.

We're building a new Black Death website. That's right, about a year after we launched this one we found out we already needed something bigger and better. Expect a brand new HTML5 website and the Black Flag Tribute 7" here next month or so.

There are two brand new releases coming up the next couple of months. Both on 7" vinyl, blckdth017 will become the debut release of Beach Eater (indie rock, Roosendaal) and blckdth018 is gonna be a split between Walker Diver (singer songwriter, Utrecht) and Half Mast (noise duo, Roosendaal / Wernhout). Be on the lookout.

BAM! The new records are out! We proudly present: 1. Sweet Empire's The Flood 7" EP on solid white and solid blue vinyl, including the songs on CD (blckdth015) and 2. Greyline's much anticipated new album Behind The Masquerade on gatefold LP (blckdth016). Release shows are widespread this weekend: Vera in Groningen hosts the Greyline show (with Anaphylactic Shock and more) this Friday, and on Saturday the Black Death party will continue right there with Otis and Lugosi in the basement. That same day you can also go check out the Sweet Empire release (with Union Town and more) at De Groote Weiver in Krommenie. Check the shows section for more details. After the weekend we will air the Black Death online store since it is as good as finished, so get ready to spend money. POW!

With the new Greyline album and Sweet Empire EP still on the way we are already looking at another release. We are proud to announce that All On Black is added to our dysfunctional family and that they are currently working with Menno Bakker on their first album. They hope to be finished around April so more news soon. More great news: most of our releases are gonna be distributed via Sonic Rendezvous and various distro's such as The Shield and Crucial Attack. Still working on it, coming soon.

Stand by for 2 new releases on Black Death Records. Pretty soon we will give you Sweet Empire's new EP on 7" vinyl, and Greyline's new album on cd and vinyl. Another new band is to be announced soon, we'll keep you posted.

The plan to get this new website online by summer 2009 failed miserably because we have been too fucking busy doing other stuff. Now the third Black Death release for 2009 has almost seen the light of day so we're finally gonna finish things. What happened these last few months? Albums by Lugosi and Otis have been harvesting great reviews and Fehler are on the verge of giving birth to a hideous and sick baby girl called Adharma. If you would like to congratulate the proud parents go see them play with Minsk and A Storm Of Light in Den Bosch next week. We hope to have this site finished by then so check back here soon.
